The reason for the (cosmetic) rebuild is in the item description, the mechanicals haven't been touched.
It's a tad overpriced, but if you buy it as a keeper it's still a lot of well sorted bike for the money. I paid £2K for my 1993 11RS last summer with 28,000 on the clock, in beautiful condition but complete with the standard scabby fasteners. Factor in £150 plus a lot of time (brake bolts particularly) to change these over to SS. before you start doing the paint and suspension etc.
He may be open to negotiation as it's coming to the end of the season now, so you could try holding out hoping it doesn't sell, and then having a chat. But if you are seriously interested go see it in the flesh if possible, and if it ticks all your boxes, buy it. _________________ There is only now, yesterday is gone and is unchangeable, tomorrow is uncertain. Good decision. Always better to have the full performance model in high speed red! _________________ There is only now, yesterday is gone and is unchangeable, tomorrow is uncertain. Live in the moment. |
