About a month ago my electric windshield died. And became "floppy"- it would flop forward freely. It happened on a trip to southern Ohio, where I encountered some awesomely bad roads and was (maybe) in a bit of a hurry on my sidecar rig...

It looks to me like these brackets are broken- should these should be complete holes- round? The other side looks the same.

The windshield motor also seems dead- I'll put 12v to it when I'm done posting this.

Thanks!

Yep, should be a whole hole.
Jeff (I know about Ohio roads)

That's what I suspected. rats!

Is this a common problem, or a good indicator that I should maybe slow down before I break something expensive?
