Has anyone moved the fuel and coolant temperature guages to a higher position so you don't have to look down at them?
I have been wondering if I could locate the guages to where the speakers are. I have no interest in a stereo system and if I did, I would Bluetooth sound to the helmet. _________________ Ian, owner of:-

No reason not to. You could put them up there where the upper bank of switches is, too. _________________ Jim

Hello!
AFAIK K100 RT or LT had an option of putting gauges it that place.

Having only ridden K-RS bricks (I did ride Saltcreek's LT for a few miles once) I always thought that those gauges on an LT were in an odd location- out of the usual gauge line-of-sight.
So, good idea. _________________ John & Cathy

Yes but it is not compatible with the electric windshield. The K75 ultima has an electric windshield and gauges are on the handlebar. _________________ I am not a number, I am a free man.

I built a set of instrument cups for my gauges from PVC piping connectors and a table lamp nipple, all which I got from the local hardware store. The writeup with all the details about how I did it are at this URL:
Build a DIY Single Instrument Cup
I'll mention that I modified my K100RT to use a motorized screen from a K1100. The cups place the instruments at a convenient viewing angle while riding.
My only issue is with where I chose to install the cups; They interfere with removing and replacing the fairing pocket covers. If I was to do this over again I would choose to move the location of the cups upwards by 5-10mm. _________________ - Robert

My K75RTP has a fuel gauge installed in the space the left speaker is in on a K1100LT. _________________ Ride Safe,
