I changed the spark plugs on my 1/1999 K1100 and fitted Bosch XR5DC. After riding 300 kms I removed the plugs to check the colour and it was darker than I would have liked.

I was reading some specifications on another site which I have copied below. Should I be using XR7LDC?


Spark Plugs

Bosch XR 5 DC, Beru 12 R-5 DU

For the last 120k km i have used Denso iridium IX22 without any problems.
I never look at them, just replace them after 35-40k km.
