Does anyone here know what ohlins front forks/suspension these are?

I like that these are inverted and i was wondering if these are made to fit the stock triple.

First of all, WELCOME. Great bunch of folks here.

Second- WOW, nice bike. Where did you see it?

The modern fork is something that I have thought about doing myself.

As best as I figure out, those look to be Ohlins Road/track superbike forks.
An older model since they aren't "radial mounts" for the brake calipers.

Modifications would be needed, probably new upper and lower triple clamps since the stock clamps on K bikes would be too small to use with the USD forks.

Biggest drawback I can see is the loss of any ABS system.

But those F & R suspension changes bring the brick closer to the 21st century. Nice find.

John

Thanks for the welcome greeting. I just recently purchased a 94 K1100LT Highline that will be turned into a Cafe racer Smile

Ideally I would love to run this front suspension set up, but i dont know what front it actually is. I found it on another forum and i was intrigued by it. Hopefully someone here can help me out.

It really is a beautiful bike.

That thing is just screaming "ride me very fast!!!"

Notice how stripped down that rear end is, no fender, no luggage rails, no ABS, no nothing...wow, they really cut out the fat and then some.

I don't where that front fender came from....

Those wheels don't appear to be BMW stock issued for the bike either. I do like them though.

the wheels are five spoke bmw wheels. the rear is bolt on and the front needs to have machined bearings to fit.

The front end looks like a Ducati/Ohlins. Early 90's Ducati used the same Marzocci front end as K11's. They look compleetly different, buta are the same spec...(i have both and are the parts are interchangable). Im guessing you could fit the inverted and machine the axle spacing.

great looking hot rodded K11.....IMO, not sure if the front forks would be worth the huge expense it probably took?

I have been trying to figure out what front end he used for this setup. It definitely looks like a ducati front end (53mm upper 56mm lower clamp diameter), but I am still wondering what triple trees he used. I recently picked up an Ohlins 46DRS from an R1150 GS and it fit with some modification to the ball joints. I picked it up used for a decent price so I went with it.

The front end cost would definitely be outrageous new, but it totally changes the look of the k1100. Surprised
