When in the process of clutch replacement,have you guys noticed some play in the shaft the clutch housing is on?
When I pulled on the housing then push it back to expose the o ring to cut it to remove it,the shaft moves up and back some also.
Is this normal? Thx.Keith

I can't say as I recall any movement like that, but that was 2 years ago now for me.

I had the same worry when I did mine recently. It's not a problem, the shaft is supported at the front by a needle roller sleeve and its only when the clutch housing is bolted in that that any fore-aft movement is stopped - by the bearing on the output shaft gear/shock absorber.
