ok so i ordered the respective tire size for my 1993 k1100lt as described by motorcyclesuperstore.com (120 70 17) but then i get told my 3 spoke is an 18 and a 100 90 18 is supposed to be the tire size to purchase. I can return this tire and get a new size no problem, but the tire i purchased i really want as it's a bit more sticky than any other tire i've seen for the bike, now it the other tire stretched on it or something, and will this other tire fit? _________________ GM guy, saved by the graces of BMW

Kyle,
the LTs have 18" front wheels and 17" rear wheels, the RSs have 17" front and 18" rear.
See this chart for details:

The best for you to do, is acutally read the size of tire on the bike as it sits now.
It's possible a previous owner could have put an 18" rear on the bike and you not know it. _________________ Ride safe.

yeah i went ahead and ordered a new tire, returning the old one. Is it ok to mix tires or should i go ahead and order a matching rear tire? The rear tire on this bike has a good amount of tread life left but idk if i feel ok with multiple tire treads on it as i refuse to do it on my truck _________________ GM guy, saved by the graces of BMW
