Thanks for all the good scoop I've picked up over the 2 years around here, looks like I'm in need of some more.
this was a year for new tires (tyres). I really like going to radials 2 years ago when I got the bike, so figured I'd stay with what works.
I've had not luck finding a Aezaro and someone said they've been discontinued, so I got a Mich Pilot3 for the rear. The size I was replacing wasn't avail (140/80), so I went with a (150/70). I've seen them mentioned as an alternative on this site.
I've had that tyre and wheel to now 3 different shops, and NOBODY can get the bead to seal ...... we've tried all the tricks with the exception of shooting ether into it and setting off a blast.
We have a short sesason in Upper Michigan, and I missing some of the best parts. Need some hints, help, suggestions, magic, miracles, whatever.
Thanx for all responses. |

I had the same bead seating problem with my 150/70 last year when I mounted it up.
I ended up taking it to a bike shop that had a high volume hose/fitting assy and removed the valve core, it seated right up. Didn't have to band the middle or anything like that either.
I just put a Avon Azero 140/80 on tonight and the bead seated right up with my small compressor here at home, minus the valve core..... _________________ Ride safe.
