That's one serious weather event up there. Hoping you folks are all okay. Keep safe.
Cheers

We did fine here. Lost power for 6 days but no flooding. Some trees down but none reached the house. Then we get a foot of snow. Lose power again for 4 more days. Even more trees down. We did have a portable generator so we managed thru. Only cost me 2 weeks pay cause I could not leave the house on the generator with the family home. In all we did ok. A lot better then most. Thank you all for your concern. _________________ Ron

Nothing but some heavy rain here.
But as of 3 days ago, our friends in the New York City area were still without power - 12 days after the storm. They have a gasoline generator but gasoline is in short supply- many gas stations do not have power for their pumps. _________________ John & Cathy

Too bad a smart electrician couldn't wire the pumps(and dispensers) to a generator, they are only 110V. They could run off of a generator just fine....even if it's only 1 pump(dispenser). Any would be better than none.
I understand safety if #1 priority, but if done correctly it can be just fine. _________________ Ride safe.

Hi Scott...
It's a 'no brainer' since many municipal codes require that the pumps be supplied from a branch power feed and with separate 'service panel'. Wouldnt take much would it ??
Very best regards....// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

You know....there is some truth there.
We are always wondering WHY people that live in typical hurricane paths (although this wasn't typical) always run out at the last minute to buy plywood, bottled water and generators. How about being prepared in advance? What an idea!!!!
And what did they do with the plywood from the last storm, eat it? _________________ John & Cathy
