|
I just added a powder coating set-up for small to medium parts to my shops tool list.. :0) Jazzed, can't wait to start turning out parts.
It'll make a great addition to my Plasma-Cam!
I have already tried semi-gloss black, green, translucent green, clear and translucent violet. Starting to get the hang of it, very simple, and just beautiful finishes!
Here is a pic of a Hemp leaf I made for our Hemp store (yeah, yeah, I know, it's a pot leaf, get over it... LOL)
I cut the leaf on the Plasma-cam, texture sanded it with a flap disc, and then powder coated translucent green over that. You get an idea by looking at the pics, but you'd really have to see it in person to get the depth, and cool factor.
Now to start re coating some of the semi-gloss pieces on the K that have worn over time (choke lever, master cylinder covers, etc...)
Pics of Bike related coatings to come!

Interesting... I have never seen translucents used in powder coating, and it just never occurred to me for some reason. Combined with the texture options beneath, it could obviously make for some schnazzy results. Well done, quaddawg. _________________ Niemand
