Guys,
In an earlier thread on this site I found a reference to the wiring for the gauge - a single wire from the sensor to the gauge which has a connection somewhere under the tank.
My gauge has stopped working - and doesn't deflect if I earth the wire to the sensor so I assume it is a wiring issue.
If there's a convenient plug under the tank, I'd like to replace the wire from the sensor to the plug - can anyone tell me approximately where to find this plug. Is it a tank off job or can I just pull it back a bit ?

It's more than one connector involved in this circuit.
From the sensor to the harness it runs a single wire with a blue single pole connector, right, front, under tank.
From the harness to the instruments you should find a 5 pole connector, which splits to two 4 pole connectors (to each instrument).
left, front, under tank.
EDIT: have to correct myself about the 5 pole connector, ...it's a 4 pole connector, with the temp sensor connector
beside as a single pole connector.
