Looks like she's getting on a ferry, hopefully she can catch a few Z's.

I wonder if Drake is meeting up with her?

BTW, I don't know that ocean-front-wheel-dunk is needed.

I wasn't trying to infer that she actually needed to do it.

It's an Iowa thing here. We have RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) here every year. It starts on the western boarder of Iowa at the Missouri River with a rear tire dip and ends on the eastern side of Iowa at the Mississippi with a front tire dip. The ride lasts a full week.

This years ride just finished last Saturday.

Ohh and we are talking about BICYCLE'S here.......a whole lot less weight.....

Scott,

RAGBRAI is on my eventual to-do list.

Didn't think that anyone was thinkin' the dunkin' wuz needed Laughing

Hey Shogs is the RIDER.

Confused Confused Confused

SEEMS to be taking forever to get off that ferry !... or maybe its a required 350 mile pause ?? Could also be a "breakdown" but I sure hope not !

I hope eventually she writes up a 'ride diary' for all of us Tracker-Junkies to see exactly what happened and when !

Hate to do it... BUT gotta be up super early, and have to leave it here and now ! All you die-hards keep her going !

Regards.....// Ernie in NH

One small kink in the situation......
While she was checking into the hotel, after she took the gps picture.........

some a-hole stole her gps off the bike..... Evil or Very Mad

Not an impossible situation to recover from, but an unplanned challenge for her.

Thanks again everyone.
I'm going to wash the bike shortly.
Jeff aka Augie on ADV is mailing me a loaner 478 and Steve sent me the GPX files.
I hope to be able to load them but right now the issue is I have to find someone that has Map Source.
If not I can try to limp back using the printed route data and the GPS.

Awesome achievement Gwen! It was really cool to watch your track across the US.

Sorry about the GPS, that sucks, karma will get them. Scott mentioned you got a screenshot right at the end. So what was the final time, mileage, fuel etc. Any data points you can post?

The women in my household tell me that La Push is where the Twilight Vampire stories are set, so watch out for cute, pale young men.

Best of luck on your safe return!

So is she trying to do the return thing in 72 hours, or just heading back at a more sane pace?

I can't believe she is doing all this on the OEM seat!

I think she's going for it! If she does it, she will be the first person to do it...

Drake is holding me captive at the cabin and saying things like "Beer me" and "You call yourself a K-bike wrench"
