Indeed it is a guzzi engine, that guy lives around the corner from me and has another one which has a turbo'd Honda CX650 engine in it. _________________ K1100RS '97

That's all I know, it's the engine out of one of these:-
http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/classic-japanese-motorcycles/1983-honda-cx650t.aspx#axzz2dNXAnAAX
Personally I'm not a big fan of the CX series, but this one seems like an interesting version, but was very heavy for a 650, same power and weight as the K11!
While the owner lives close by I don't actually know him but he invited me over to have a squiz sometime so I will try and do that sooner rather than later and report back _________________ K1100RS '97

So as a reward to all the volunteers for the show we do an all expenses paid night out. Usually at Maidenwell last few years. here some photos from the afternoon, lost the ability to use camera after this
8 Laverdas in a row promised to be a good night. What I remember of it, 'twas a blast, there were about 15 other bikes but we hid them round the back of the pub
But things got out of hand early as Big Al showed us how to be a total dickhead:-
The road was still on fire for a while:-
So the responsible thing to do is to put it out.....
A familiar sight, repairs on the run, this time only loose header nuts. As a matter of inyterest to the BM people, this particular RGS has no less than 275k kms on the clock and has never been apart, not bad for a 29 year old bike!:-
Rearing to go!!
Bad attitude, typical Hardly Ableson rider.....
This bike is 32 years old and has had all the mods, Mik flatside carbs, Jota cams, Carillo rods and high comp pistons, Suzuki wheels/brakes, Racetech forks etc, It goes like a freaking rocket! The old fart on it stacked it and broke his arm a few months ago.

Ah the Maidenell pub, a home away from home. A lot of happy sunday arvees there. Our mates overseas may not believe they're seeing the renovated version in your fine snaps.
Your club day looked great, hope to make it there one day before i'm old.
Cheerio

Indeed it is a great place, the pig on the spit on the last Saturday of every month is awesome!
The bar guys get a bit pissed as well, one of them fell over and split his head open, he stuck some packing tape over it and kept serving beers, good effort _________________ K1100RS '97
