Looks like I got some work ahead of me. Kinda sux the dealership did a spline lube 2k miles ago.

Look on the bright side, at least none of the bolts should be seized/striped/corroded.

I'm with lunch that it's probably the seal at the back of the pushrod.

It's in there VERY tightly. I've done two of them on different Ks. You need to carefully destroy the old one to get it out. Then pound the new one in with a socket of similar diameter.

You don't need a lift to lube splines or get to the clutch. All you need is a sawhorse.

You CAN do it in about 5-6ish hours but plan for a weekend if it's you first time at it.

Holy Crap. Nothing but a frame left. Wish I had the cash to write a check. Needs to be done in a month. Maybe later this week I'll try and tackle it. Thanx for all the help here.

Note that on a 93 ABS I bike you don't need to remove the tail cowl. Just run the sawhorse through the frame where the battery usually is.

Quick question...at idle, how does it run? Smooth or rough?

I'm kinda scared to ask but have you done a leak down and compression test?

At 35K? Shouldn't be necessary.
