I had sticky rear brakes, so I went and bought new pads, pulled the rear calliper apart and cleaned them out, reassembled the calliper and started bleeding the brakes, got to the point where rear pedal depressed and hold and release the bleed valve no fluid coming through clear drain tube, brake still depressed but I can turn there rear disc, took calliper off again, when I undid the banjo bolt the holes were blocked with rubber, cleaned out the rubber and reassembled, I have now done this about 9 times and it just keeps blocking with rubber that varies in size, I'm not sure if it's the break hose or the master cylinder? Any ideas?
Also if it is the rubber brake hose and I replace it according to the manual you need to take it to a BMW workshop to get the whole ABS re-bleed, is that true?

My guess would be bits of the lining which may be disintegrating over time.

It might be a good time to upgrade all of your brake lines to braided stainless steel.

No, you don't need to take it to a dealer.

Have you tried to bleed fluid from the ABS unit? If that fluid is clean the rubber is coming from the line between the ABS unit and the caliper. If you get rubber bits fromt he ABS unit might b the line from the resevoir to the ABS unit and or pedal.

I use a suction gun to bleed, fill the reservoir, bleed the ABS unit first them the caliper. Press and release the brake pedal to get all of the old fluid out of it as well.

The line from the MC to the ABS control unit is metal. If you're getting rubber bits in the brake line then it is coming from the piece of brake line that goes from the ABS line to the rear caliper. This is much more likely than the seals on the MC piston shedding rubber bits.

I have ordered a replacement seal kit for the rear MC and I'll take the rear line in and get a Braided one made up, might be the start of getting them all braided.

You can buy a set of braided steel lines for a reasonable price online.
I did last year and the lines fit perfectly. Can't recall the brand but will look it up if needed.
That way, you don't have the bike partially apart while you get lines made up.
