Just got back from my military stint in the sand box.Well when I was tapped for duty I had just replaced my fan, and was in the process of removing fuel and vent hoses due to their being weather checked and cracked.I also removed that messy contrpation from within the airbox and capped the nipples.
I want, no need to ride so bad but ever since ive been back my memory is so cloudy and confused. Probably no sleep and nightmares.sucks I just cant recall the fuel house plumbing and routing. The manual is of limited clarity.I need some clear photos and simple explanations. I will pay for online help, I am so close to being back in the saddle. THANKS in advance for your time . The rearmost nipple on the tank is output from the pump, and connects to the rear end of the fuel rail.
Front end of the fuel rail connects to the side of the pressure regulator.
The center nipple on the pressure regulator connects to the frontmost nipple on the tank (fuel return). |

Another great resource is Motobrick.com, it has lots of photos along with directions to do a great many things with these bikes....many 'brickers' are members in both groups. You can google search 'K1100 fuel line replace' and '...throttle body re-hab' etc., and find some of those write ups...
The K1100 airbox design is quite a thing...maybe the son of the guy who came up with 'le Elephant' German tank, did it. Too big to even go over bridges, barely could move...Best Luck, hope you can get it going.
Check other hoses, rubber while your in there...I replaced my throttle body bushing and o-ring manifold gaskets(cracked/split etc.), and the oil-crankcase vent hose...they go bad often. _________________ 1997 K1100LT-SE

You didn't tell us where your bike lives. There might be a bricker close by that's willing to help. _________________ Cheers, Rene
