Not a K question as I don't now what the K fairing is made from.

I dropped the Blackbird and chipped a bit of the nose cose just at the fixing bolt for the screen. I can't find an adhesive that will fuse the plastic
as like the old Airfix model solvent.

Any chemists on site. The material is ABS/PBT.
I'm told MEK (methyl ethyl keytone) will fuse it.
Adhesive will stick it but will break off under stress.
I tried some on an old fairing.

Chemist? No, but I did stay in a holiday inn once.

Poly vinal ester resin, such as to use with fiberglass cloth should bond it back, and be hard enough. If it is structural thay make resin with chopped fiberglass strands in it. Think bondo constancy but with fiber reinforcement, that dries rock had and sticks to anything.

Any auto parts store, or Walmart would have resin, may have to go to a boat place to get the reinforced stuff.

I've also used ABS compliant glue combined with fiberglass fabric. Any home repair place that sells PVC pipe and adhesive will likely have it. Read the cans carefully and make sure to get the kind for ABS.

Certainly the surfaces need to be cleaned and absolutely oil residue (even from skin) free.

Thanks guys.
It's only a piece the size of my little finger but the
bolt holding the screen goes through the joint.

It's ABS/PBT which makes it harder.
I tried the solvent for ABS piping but it laughed at it -
didn't make any inpression on it.

I will check out the resin option. Very Happy
