hi guys
thanks for the new membership, ive been riding for 25yrs now and have owned only a few bikes suzuki GN250, kawasaki ZX9R, harley dyna glide(hated it and sold it after 2 weeks) then i bought my first K, a K75s, i loved it, so much fun plus comfortable cruising, but after the usual divorce crap it had to go. So after 5 very long years without 2 wheels under me i started looking for a replacement K and ended up with a 2000 K1100LT( i know they stopped making them in 99' but my compliance plate states 07/2000 so im sticking with that) with only 45000km on the clock(very happy man).
Anyway recently i decided to do some servicing all oils changed filters etc splines lubed and get the cracked exhaust fixed, all these things were pretty straight forward(did all of my own servicing on the 75s after BMW service cost me a 1/3 of what i paid for the bike, so from then on i did it all) whilst reinstalling the exhaust i realized that i didnt have to disconnect the oxygen sensor, mostly because it didnt have one, my fuel economy is pretty good, i normally get about 350kms out of 18L, so question is should i have an oxygen sensor somewhere else??? or did it come without.
thanks heaps
ive read nearly all the posts in the group Very Happy Very Happy
PS ive owned 12months now but only ridin it for 6months, boys in blue dont like what i consider a comfortable crusing speed$$$$$$$ in fines + 6months no license + 12 months good behaviour, what a crock!!!will post some photos soon.
thanks again
hoffy

Some may correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the only ones with the oxygen sensor were the ones built for U.S. emissions with catalytic convertors.

Most - if not all - K1100LTs and RS sold in Germany had catalysators. Two LTs that I have imported from Sweden had none.

If your bike has this CO adjustment screw on the left hand side then it is a non-catalysator model.

Just remember a thread in the Swedish BMW forum about the authorities which should set a good example used non cat models.
When cat equipped models was most common on the swedish market.
