So here goes.
Last year after a gear oil change I used the fill mark that is on the wrench in the tool kit. It is no accurate and my Clymer did not seem to mention this. A few weeks later I developed an oiled clutch, slipping under load in 3rd-5th gears and getting worse. I pulled the transmission and clutch and let it set for several months. Im trying to get myself jazzed up the finally repair it instead of just walking around it in the garage. First Im going to attempt to put a master list of all items together that I should RR while im in there. Here is what I have so far. (1997 with 87,000 miles)
Trans Arm Boot (23131338731)
Clutch Pushrod Seal (23211451159)
Input shaft Seal (23121451151)
Honda Moly 60
Thrust Ring (23121451152)
Clutch nut (11 211460 673) x1
Screw (21211454 417) x6
Washer (21211242377) x6
Compression ring (11211460696) x1
O-ring (11211460467) x1
Rear engine seal 11 11 7 666 186
Clutch Plate (using after market Oil resistant)
What am I missing? Please share your experiences and thanks in advance.

Well.... BMW recommendations are that anytime you open the clutch for inspection or repair, to replace the following.......though many owners have re-used them with no ill effects.(other than the O-ring, which you already have listed)
clutch nut 11 21 1 460 673 (x1)
screw 21 21 1 454 417 (x6)
washer 21 21 1 242 377 (x6)
compression ring 11 21 1 460 696 (x1)
o-ring 11 21 1 460 467 (x1)(new part# superseding the one you listed)
As long as you have it open and the clutch removed some also recommend changing:
rear engine seal 11 11 7 666 186 _________________ Ride safe.

My clutch too was getting oiled. Observed oil at the weep hole at the bottom of the engine.
Replaced the clutch plate including all of the bits mentioned above (including the clutch nut which some argue as optional). Also replaced the tranny input shaft seal since it is easy to do and not expensive.
re-lubed spines and put everything back together. All solved - no leaks.
In my research I found it rare for the rear main bearing to go on these engines. Not that the rear main CAN'T fail... just not as common. More common is the O ring. Mine was shiny with no appearance of leakage from that area. _________________ Thanks,

OK, Updated my original post with suggested parts. I will begin ordering them and putting it back together. Thanks for helping me put together a "Master List" of parts to help with this.

The old main seal fails frequently, I guess most bikes were manufactured with the old one, once you switch to the new one it should last a while. _________________ I am not a number, I am a free man.

As well as installing the new seal .5-.6mm "proud" of the block face as per TSB 2798 for the K's. _________________ Ride safe.
