Just happened to notice a few posts on master cylinders.
I had to do the rear and wanted to use the red grease.
Nobody knew what I was talking about. I used to have a tiny
tetra pack of red grease which came with seals for a Morris Mini
way back in 1971 but couldn't find it. It used to live in the top of
the toolbox.

Eventually I found a stockist for Castrol Red Grease for brakes.
I had found web site showing how to use it.

My problem was caused by a fragment of corroded aluminium
getting into the front of the cylinder. Didn't do damage where
it mattered.
