| 1993k1100lt..Bike hasn't sold yet so I'm learning how to ride Brunhilde,that's her name. Easy noob question, where is the off position for heated grips. Top of toggle, middle position or bottom?Owners manual unclear to me. |

Welcome to the forum.
Middle position is off.
If the original wiring is in place and functional, Top is High, bottom is Low

Try to avoid running them on low, there have been more than a few instances of burned harness caused by the low heat setting. _________________ Ride safe.

Yep, I noticed the nichrome wire was burning up the insulation on mine, so I cut it out and replaced it with copper wire and tied in a PWM, which I rarely use. If it's cold enough for heated grips, I just run them on high. _________________ '02 - GL1800

Or just cut the orange wire on the back of the switch to disable the low setting.
