Hello all: So,,I hit a (hidden in the early morning shadows) frost heaved culvert across a road today.Shortly after I see the right side mirror glass is gone,This is the used glass and mirror housing I had to purchase (separate) two years ago to replace the original , when I first got the bike. So I guess the mounting hole was a bit worn ,, MY QUESTION::Will both right or left mirror glass fit the mirror frame or only a right side mirror glass.

Thanks ::Hilton

Further to my original question,, I'm looking on Bike Bandit and see the mirror is advertised singular and seems to fit both sides . And on the schematic it shows a mirror clamp which appears to fit behind the mirror. Would not having this clamp be the root of my lost mirror problem?

Thanks: Hilton

Right and left mirror glasses are the same.

That other thing in the parts pics is some sort of tool for removing the glass.

Press hard on the CENTER of the mirror glass to get it to seat properly.

The new mirror came with the little clip attached. It's a retainer clip to hold the mirror in place.

Having said that,,, I discovered that the mirrors on K-bikes are not all the same. Having replaced the right side mirror housing and glass the first year I had the bike I noticed that it has a different mounting bracket than the left.The retainer clip shown in the Bike Bandit Schematic fits the mirror I have installed now on the right.The left side has a rectangular bracket with two pieces of (probably hardened) wire running horizontally to clip into the recess on the mounting pin on the mirror glass,
The mirror didn't have to be separated to install the retainer clip.

I bent the reflector/heat shield a bit to make room to look down at the mounting bracket and was able to push the retainer clip in to clip the mirror pin.
