I have a 93 k1100rs that has sighns of a fuel starvation. When the bike is cold I have a hard time starting it takes 2 to 3 stabs at the starer to get it to catch. When it does catch it slowly gets going does not sound right after a few minutes as it's warming up it picks up and runs great all day long. As long as the engine is warm it will start on the first try and not stumble. Only when cold??? have done the following new fuel filter new fuel pump new ignition switch cleaned air filter checked and cleaned all grounds new battery and new plugs.
The problem seems to worsen over time what are the sighns of a fuel regulator going bad? have run out of ideas _________________ 93 Krs

You may consider checking the water temp sensor.
If it is telling the motronic that the engine is warmer than it really is, the fuel mixture will run lean.
It's located on the water tube riser behind the radiator. _________________ Ride safe.

Thanks did not think of that but I have to say this one has got me beat. Last night what ever this electrical bugaboo is went after my alternator or battery. I was only putting out 12.2 volts while on the move and the bike started heating up like never before. Put in a call for the dealership don"t want to do something stupid and kill my bike.
Thanks _________________ 93 Krs

Finally broke down and took it to the dealer OUCH$$$$$$ found several air leaks, faulty spark plug wires heavily caroded and a tps sensor that needed to be reset. The TPS sensor seemed to be the culprit of many of the issues.
aparently when I installed aftermarket grips I must have messed with the setting and caused the bike to run to rich at first start up. _________________ 93 Krs
