Only recently I noticed a number just on the fine line under the handlebar.
Is this unique to the bike?? |

Does the number look like a BMW part number? can you let us see what it is? _________________ 1997 K1100LT

No, looks as part of design.
I'll see if I can post a picture.
It's an LTSE - is it the actual number of the bike as off assembly line.[/img] |

I have a 1998 K1100lt SE and there is no number there that I can see. It is as original and not re-sprayed _________________ 1997 K1100LT
