I just brought a 97 K1100LT that has a leak on the rear hose, All
of the dot 4 has leaked out, The master on the bars is dry. I intend
to put braided brake lines on ALL the lines. Is there a link to tell me how
to bleed the system. I don't have the cash for the dealer right now.

Thanks BOB

Bob - I know there are several threads here on the forum about bleeding brakes.

You can also look here: https://forums.bmwmoa.org/showthread.php?56067-Bleeding-ABS-II-Brakes

http://stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/bleeding-abs-brake-systems

http://www.ibmwr.org/r-tech/oilheads/brakes.shtml

If you just do a standard bleed - without the special box that activates the ABS unit, there will be some old brake fluid in there. Probably nothing to be concerned about.

The brakes will gravity bleed - just takes a little longer.

Please tell us more about your LT.
