Hi guys,

My 1992 LT radio lost one channel. There is sound coming out of one speaker only, but both speakers are good.

I tracked the problem and one of the channels (yellow wires) is dead. Should I try to fix this? Or should I just get a new stereo with USB and make my life easier?

Problem is: I will lose handlebar control... Right? Is there a way to keep it? A list of compatible stereos?

Thanks for your help.

On second thoughts, maybe I should just remove the stereo and speakers... Why the hell do I need stereo on a motorbike in the 21st century?

The fairing would be lighter and more solid I guess.

I removed the radio, wiring, antenna, and speakers when I did my repaint. It took almost 20 pounds off the bike, there are less things to rattle, and I never used it except to show people a cassette deck. I have a bluetooth device in my helmet, so I stream music and podcasts when I ride.

Wonder what they'll have in 30 years?
