Good point. Those bolt heads require you to use a good Allen wrench that is well-seated in order to avoid stripping the head. Another reason why you don't want to take your forks to just any old MC shop. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The other vulnerable part is the the spring retainer #31 42 2 312 064 (cap at the very top). They will strip out a nano second after the torque wrench clicks. Luckily, the entire top cap / spring retainer is still available. Two of them will set you back slightly more than $100.00.
When reinstalling the screw / fill plugs #31 42 2 312 031, the trick is to stop when the torque wrench is getting ready to click. _________________ Jim

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the advice and assistance thus far.
I've been in touch with liors in Corona and I'll drop The bike to him on Wednesday and he says it could be overnight for the work which is great!
Unfortunately I'd normally do all my own work but sans tools and a decent workplace it really isn't feasible right now.
Thanks again and safe riding!

If you don't have the gear to do it at home (like a CarbTune or Twinmax) then I'd recommend asking Lior to synch your throttle bodies while you have the bike in his shop. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks flying duck I'll have a chat to him.
Unfortunately due to my circumstances changing r.e work I won't be keeping the bike past January so don't really want to drop too much money on it.
