From what I have read the rear hubcap should just lever off?
I have gingerly tried this with a slim screwdriver attempting not to scratch the finish which is like new. I have not had any success. The wheels of my bike would not have been removed for 9 years so I thought I should practice this and also check the wheel torque settings. Ian

Ian - look all around the edge of the hub cap - you should see an indentation where you can get a tool in and pop the cap off.

It's only held by a spring clip. Use card or softwood to protect the paint from the flat blade screwdriver you will inevitably use.

Thanks guys, but there is no indent on my wheel or cap as show in some photos. I just managed to remove it by inserting a long thin screwdriver into one of the three slots and levering between the 2 ends of the slot, not across it. Ian
