Bought a new dikey Batt,found out hard way,BMW batt comes with neg and Postive post covers found out reason they made that way, Installed new batt had old one out dozen of times in past for clean up and batt low on water,no problem. But replacement batt posts are even with top of batt case so when tighten hold down plate that holds computer will touch post and if plate is not tight can and did move over and contact brake line burned a hole in line lost fluid while on ride thought bike was on fire as brake fluid ran down to header and lots of smoke not knowing if main wiring was lite up or what,bike went dead burned ground wire off,after replacing brake line and ground wire and new batt as was toast, So cut a bike tube so would fit on top of batt .ABS needs reset anyone know a trick to reset or need to take to a dealer ?
