I'm thinking of ordering a pair of these to mount on the engine guards.

I find the ones that come out of the holes on the guards to be a little too high for my taste. Do you think it will work? The guards look vertical to the eye but if you put a level on them they are about 3/4 of a bubble off. Anyone got these mounted up?

Anything that bolts onto a 1" will work, but those look ugly like Madonnas vagina ugly.

Not to mention obtrusive.

With those things you are going to be spread out like Jenna Jameson.

I tried other ones on my LT. If you mount them too low they will scrape in parking lots and on hard turns. I got rid of them and went with the Swisher ones instead.

Got the Swishers now and only use them for very short intervals as the riding position is not comfortable for me.

Laughing Laughing Actually, I picture them coming back and down a little, even with the side grills, about 4 inches above and 4 inches in front of the stock pegs. Ebay, $108.
They wouldn't drag up there would they? They are curved so they don't stick out as far and are no uglier than a Russel seat. Very Happy

Ripped from the Kuryakyn site.

Quote:
An extended version of our popular 7996. It's 3-1/4" radius gives an incredible 6-1/2" range of adjustment. It's gently curved shape keeps the peg tucked in toward the center line of the bike for maximum comfort. Incorporating an innovative locking device, this mount is guaranteed not to slip

I bought a pair of SwitchBlade pegs for my Harley. First Kuryakyn product I've ever bought. And the last.

Their quality of manufacturing and workmanship is rather poor. The ridges that prevent the pegs from rotating are made in an inconsistent manner and don't hold well. Parts fall out of them easily and no matter how hard you tighten them, they still rotate on the highway bar.

Given the high cost, I expected better. You can probably find something much cheaper that will work just as well. But maybe that model doesn't suck as much as the one I bought. I dunno. Figured I'd let you benefit from my experience.

Not a big fan of highway pegs, but those look to have a lot of moving parts to keep tight.

Scott, I got a set of those mounted up on the '95, have to fine tune the position yet but I find so far that I can just lay my leg out on top without acutally trying to place the bottom of the boot on it.

Now guys, no comments about the dirt! Rolling Eyes I had it out in the rain today.

Can't say that thay are for a K bike. Got them from Josh Buck c/o J.O. He had received them in on a K bike.
Thanks J.O.

I had those same pegs. Worked OK, but the lip of the fairing really dug in my legs. Finally took them off.

Got mine put on yesterday. Look O.K. feel great. I'm going to experiment with the position but right now I have them all the way back and a little higher than the stock pegs. Brings my knees up level with my hips and puts my legs in the wind. No fairing rub factor. Very Happy
