I don't normally like bikes that have been drastically altered from the original, but this is very tasteful and the colour suits it. What was it originally an RS or LT?
Did you keep the ABS? _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Hi the intakes are mesh filters fitted over the ram ends with the air temp in the rear tube.I take the ABS off all my Ks I believe the weight loss is worth not having the troublesome system on it . Its actually been 9 yrs since I built this bike it was an lt that I was almost going to wreck for spares as it was pretty rough. the wheels are both off a late model r .I think the were from an r1150 and took a bit of modification to make fit but worth it the brakes are awesome the rear had the disc that bolts onto the wheel and I managed to fit the caliper to suit after cutting out some of the mount , was never that good and in the end I went back to to the old k setup with the original disc on the diff .I simply cut off the lugs on the wheel that the disc mounts on as the r wheel has a lot more offset giving more room for a larger tyre. How she looked in early 2007 when I built her.Cheers AB _________________ 92k1100 lt with sidecar. 93K1100 CAFE..86K75C.95 k1100lt |
