Fault code 1133 is showing up. Indicates sensor problem on cylinders 2&3. Anyone here replaced a Hall Sensor on K1100? Didn't find much in search. _________________ '93 K1100LT

It's pretty straightforward. Be careful taking the HES cover off as the gasket tears easily. Line up the notch on the HES with the hole in the block when putting the "new" one in. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Where are you getting this fault code? K11's don't have ODB connectors that I know of... _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

No, but they do have a primitive diagnostic connector(that you can buy an adapter to easily read).
If you don't have the plug in reader, there is a procedure that you can get the codes out with an LED or the TEMP lamp on the dash.

Is that the GS-911 3-pin adapter? Nah, don't want to have to hookup the bike to a PC to read the codes. I think I can design myself an adapter that grounds any of the three pins. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

You don't have to hook up to a pc. Just count flashes on the TEMP light. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Precisely. No point buying a device that has a useless USB port and only works with PC's. And windows at that. Ugh. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

Anyone here ever use parts from EME Euromotoelectrics? Pricing looks uncommonly low. _________________ '93 K1100LT

If they had something I needed, I wouldn't be afraid to buy from them. I have seen them recommended by others. _________________ Ride safe.

5-star rating on Facebook, Google and a few other places. They must be doing something right. _________________ To err once is human. To do so repeatedly is incompetence.

I have replaced a couple of these on K75's and it really is straight forward. Mark a line on both sides of the cut out with something like a nail or other sharp point before removing the old sensor. Fit the new sensor and connect the lead to the ignition amplifier. 3 cylinders or 4 it makes no difference, the procedure is the same.
As these items are made with some degree of precision, there is generally no need to check the timing but if you notice anything markedly different from when the original sensor was working properly you could try rotating the back plate by no more than half a degree at a time to see if this makes a difference. If there is no change reset it back to the marks you made before changing it over. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Installed a different HES finally with good results. Bike started right up, idled and reved up nicely. Didn't do a test ride yet, still buttoning up bodywork, will finish up tomorrow.
Again, thanks for suggestions and feedback. _________________ '93 K1100LT
